Spring swarm & all

its                           necessary violets


Stravinsky’s pagan                          wheeling maiden

Sedge                     for sage               out rite & brute                 & sacrificial




                daughter


Heel Beat the Bloodroot White & Open!


Augur well her breasts against the dirt

There, There

ingot barren            pawpaw               there

                                    the gingko weeps a smattering

               there                          of blush & blueish flesh                             & there

                                                                                  the choking juniper

               as true & dead as earth




there                    the itching          ivy wounding winding

                  neck & neck & neighbor

                  there

beside its cure                      geranium          there

(a sort of consolation)




there                   quince a darling fool & hanging

                from most-heaven-reaching bough

                                                                                                               & there


the thousand wasp                                            make fig & fig

                               there


                                                               swollen purpled womb
